The Gilman Ram Pump requires a continuous flow of water—such as from a river, creek, or a spring with a year-round, reliable supply. To operate effectively, the system also needs a vertical drop or "drive head," which provides the necessary pressure to power the pump.
How far and how high can the pump deliver water?
Depending on the model, the Gilman Ram Pump can lift water to heights of over 200 meters. Our low-lift MF Series is ideal for applications up to 20 meters. Gilman Ram Pumps are also capable of delivering water across long distances — from several hundred meters to several kilometers. How long does installation take?
If the drive system is already done, a typical installation takes 4 to 8 hours for a standard smaller systems (MF10 and RP75). If full construction of the structures are to be done yet, the whole installation process would take 1 to 5 days for small ram pumps to up to 30 days (or even more) for larger rams.
